Dry ginger, whole hands ready for export packing

Dry ginger and sonth, cleaned and graded

Dry ginger - sonth in the Indian trade - is the workhorse of the spice aisle: ground into masala blends, brewed into tea and infusions, and drawn on heavily by the nutraceutical and Ayurvedic trade. We source rhizomes from farm level, then sort, clean and grade before dispatch so the lot that lands is the lot that was sampled.

Ginger powder is milled under controlled conditions that keep the volatile oil, and with it the aroma, in the product rather than in the air above the grinder. Whole dry ginger ships for buyers who prefer to grind at destination.

Working with ginger exporters in India

Institutional buyers, retail packers and food processors all price ginger differently, so we keep the minimum order flexible enough for a trial container before a standing contract. Export documentation, phytosanitary paperwork and buyer-specified packing are handled in-house - the same way we ship chilli and turmeric.

Ginger - buyer questions

What is sonth, and is it the same as dry ginger?
Yes - sonth is the Indian trade name for dried ginger, the cured rhizome sold whole or ground. It is used across masala blends, teas and infusions, and in the nutraceutical and Ayurvedic trade.
Do you supply ginger powder in bulk for export?
We supply both whole dry ginger and ginger powder, milled under controlled conditions that preserve the volatile oil and aroma, packed to your specification with full export documentation.
Can we start with a trial quantity?
Yes. We keep the minimum order flexible for a trial container so you can qualify the material before moving to a regular schedule.
